The Therapeutic Process

Sometimes, new clients have questions about what topics or specific aspects of their lives will be the focus of therapy. The answer to this is that it can vary. Therapy can help with a variety of issues, including helping you work through problems in relationships, stress at work, feelings of unhappiness, or low self-esteem, to name a few. Sometimes this entails working to heal old traumas from childhood. Other times, we might simply explore what you want or need in your life right now, and how to make that happen. An essential component to the therapeutic process is simply learning new ways of processing emotional experiences, in a safe, supportive, caring, and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Every person has the power and ability to make positives changes to grow and learn. Sometimes we just need some help and the right environment in finding our strengths to do so.
